Only two LJ posts up so far, but certainly one to be watching. And - shock! horror! - she's a conservative Christian! We may actually hear opinions that disagree with ours! Are you frightened? I know I am.

polocrunch is my partner in crime. Robin to my Batman. Captain Jack to my Doctor. Paul to my Jesus. And so on. The occasional flashes of analysis and insight you find here? His journal is throbbing with them. Tumescent. Turgid. Engorged.
missysaurus will crush you all! Unless Xena's on. Rachel is one of those people who, a cursory glance reveals, is marked for greatness in whatever field she chooses to exercise her talent. Somehow she manages to be this way without succumbing to overwhelming arrogance (perhaps she could teach me how to do that - last paragraph I was comparing myself to Jesus, for Heaven's sake), though she'd be perfectly justified in that attitude.
mbuh - Jenn is a wit from Canada (those two categories seem to go together quite frequently). Currently although temporarily teaching English in South Korea, where they do strange things for strange reasons, occasionally to Jenn. Go to her journal and she'll tell you her story. It is a good story, and you will enjoy it.
tigersong aids and abets Jenn from afar. Geoff's training to be a dentist, which strikes me as a slightly suspicious career choice. I've got my eye on you, Geoff, oh yes, I know your game. Geoff's personal theology boils down to "I believe in God because things are pretty", except he'll spend a couple thousand words telling you that. See? Should've asked me, I could've saved you the trouble! He's a good read anytime.
miss_spunk - oooh, you vixen. Meet Aysha, the world's second-worst Muslim (not only does she drink whiskey, she has terrible taste in it. Honestly, Sha. Bell's? I don't know what you were thinking...). Aysha's cute, lively and funny, which enriches my day despite its constant reminder that I'm a rude, irritable social recluse. Go Aysha! |

It's too fucking hot. My bedroom catches most of the sun - I haven't figured out yet whether this is holy punishment for sins in this life, or my past life when I was Stalin. I'll get back to you on that.
My body is exactly wrong for this heat. I'm large, an endomorph - meaning my body conserves fat whenever it can. I have long, thick hair, and very pale skin. I'm suited for, say, Iceland. Iceland would be nice.
I had really resolved to revise today. Really I had. And I'm trying. But this damned heat... argh. I have one of those fans, a big one designed to cool a medium-sized room, and it's sitting about a foot away from me on the highest setting. And it's still too hot.
It's going to get hotter, too. I'm going to suffer heatstroke before this summer's out, I'm sure of it. |

As an aside since I've already made too many separate updates today - it sucks to be a voter in America, right? Seriously, you can tell me. I'll understand. I mean, you get to choose between the very right-wing party, and the very very right-wing party. Awesome choice.
Sorry about the recent American-politics-centric posts. I've been reading American news outlets and political sources recently, and shuddering occasionally. |
